ELCA Youth Gathering 2027
Mark your calendars! The ELCA Youth Gathering will be held June 28-July 2, 2027 in Minneapolis. We are already looking ahead and planning to attend. If you are interested in going, please let Saundra know so we can start planning! We will begin registration in October. Those in grades 8-12 in this upcoming school year (Fall 2026) are eligible to attend. Another informational meeting will be held on Sunday, July 26 @ 10:30 AM in Saundra’s office. Caffeine, Cards, and Conversation
Join MC Saundra for a time of fellowship, games, and delicious drinks! Starting June 10, MS & HS youth will gather every Wednesday from 1–2 PM at Caribou. Your first drink is on us! Come enjoy card games, faith-filled conversation, and meaningful time together in a relaxed setting. Whether you stay for the whole hour or just stop by, we’d love to see you there! Come when you can, and bring a friend!
Fall Kickoff Sunday
Mark your calendars for Fall Kickoff Sunday on Sunday, September 13 as we celebrate the beginning of a new year of faith formation at Zion! During worship, we will welcome our three-year-olds as they begin their Faith Explorers journey and offer a special blessing for our middle school confirmands as they embark on another year of growing in faith.
Following worship, our Elementary Faith Explorers will gather for their first day of classes, beginning at 10:30 AM in the sanctuary. Adults will have the opportunity to join Pastor Nicole for a “Heroes of the Bible” education class in Classrooms A&B, also beginning at 10:30 AM. Save the date—we look forward to kicking off the new ministry year together!
SD Synod Youth Conference
Mark your calendars and get ready — the SD Synod Youth Conference is coming to Sioux Falls on July 31–August 1!
This two-day youth gathering will bring together students from across the synod for a meaningful, memorable experience packed with worship, breakout sessions, service opportunities, games, music, and much more!
We’re excited to share some preliminary details for this year’s gathering!
Registration: Open to 2025-2026 school year 6-12 grade
Lodging: Stay overnight at welcoming churches in Sioux Falls
Meals: 3 delicious meals included, along with snacks and water for break times
